During the development of Seeds of Hope Scotland, we've come across several organisations we can recommend. They have fantastic products and services, and - as importantly - excellent ethics.
We don't get paid to promote any particular organisations. So if one is listed below, it just means we really like them!
If Seeds of Hope Scotland can't provide you with what you're after, we suggest to check out the following folk and see if they can.
INDOOR STARTER KITS
Family-run and based in North Somerset, Purple Bloom Seeds are a social enterprise promoting therapeutic horticulture (indoors, outdoors, big spaces, small spaces...anywhere and everywhere!). They are trying with all their might to get kids into growing their own food!
They sell beautiful handmade, eco-friendly packets of herbs, edible flower seeds and grow your own starter kits.
They are proud supporters of Seeds of Hope Scotland.
COMMUNITY GARDENING WORKSHOPS
The Edible Gardening Project is based at the Royal Botanic Garden Edinburgh, and shares horticultural knowledge, skills and enthusiasm for growing food with diverse communities.
The Project receives support from players of People's Postcode Lottery.
Community groups interested in getting involved in the project can find more information about how to apply on the Edible Gardening Project website.
