Our organic vegetable seed collection

We currently stock the following eight varieties of organic vegetable seeds:

Tomato ('Koralik' - 15 seeds): Well suited to container growing in a greenhouse or on a windowsill, this early bush variety produces an excellent crop of bright red cherry tomatoes. It's blight resistant, and does well even in short or wet seasons. Find out more.

Beetroot ('Detroit Globe' - c. 200 seeds): Traditional, popular main crop variety is a rich maroon in colour and has great flavour. Find out more.

Radish ('Cherry Belle' - c. 500 seeds): This bright red, globe-shaped variety is quick to mature, with crisp, crunchy white flesh and a deliciously sweet, mild flavour. As it matures at a relatively shallow depth, it's also a great root crop to try growing in containers. Find out more.

Carrot ('Nantes 2' - c. 2,000 seeds): This blunt-tipped, bright orange variety is a reliable cropper, has a great crunch and a deliciously sweet flavour. It's equally good raw in summer salads, boiled as an accompaniment to new potatoes, or roasted! Find out more.

Courgette ('Nero di Milo' - 15 seeds): This dark green, smooth skinned courgette is a great, reliable cropper. Delicious raw, roasted in pieces or turned into soup. Find out more.

Rocket (wild - c. 1,000 seeds): A very hardy leaf crop, with a much stronger, more peppery flavour than its cultivated relation. Extremely easy to grow! Find out more.

Chard ('Bright Lights', also known as rainbow chard - c. 150 seeds): As the name suggests, this is a gorgeous, multi-toned variety, full of jewel-bright stems ranging in colour from scarlet and orange to fuchsia pink, sunshine yellow and white. Find out more.

Squash ('Amoro F1' - 10 seeds): This is a beautiful, deep orange winter squash that grows vigorously. Its firm, sweet, nutty flesh has a lovely flavour, and is perfect roasted or in soups. Find out more.

    Our postcards

    All the postcards in our online shop are extra-large, A5 size - that's 21cm x 14.8cm.

They're printed on uncoated, bright white 380gsm card. That means they're nice and sturdy, and perfect for writing on with any sort of pen.

    Our seeds

We source all our seeds from a small network of trusted Scottish / UK suppliers.

We use seed-proof, hand-filled glassine paper seed packets for all our wildflower seeds. Glassine paper is 100% plastic-free, fully recyclable and biodegradable. This approach means we can also avoid the foil-sealed sachets many seed companies use, which are sadly not able to be recycled.

The clear cello bags we use to protect your items are also plant-based and 100% biodegradable.
