Your sunflower seeds (15-20 seeds)

Sunflowers are easy to grow and famously, get very tall - the world record currently stands at just over 30 feet!

The seeds provide food for birds, and the flowers are a popular source of nectar for bees.

The variety we currently provide is Giant Yellow Single - a lovely, traditional type of sunflower suited to children's growing competitions.

Sow your sunflower seeds April-May. You can find out lots more about our sunflower seeds and how to grow them right here.

Biodegradable starter pots

These pots are 6cm tall x 6cm diameter at the rim. They are made of biodegradable wood pulp, are peat-free and are a great, environmentally-friendly alternative to plastic pots.

Biodegradable pots also make it really simple to transplant your seedlings into larger pots as they grow. You can either tear the pot open to remove the seedling, or put the whole thing into the new soil, and let the seedling's roots grow right through the pot.

Peat-free coir discs

These discs are made from dehydrated coconut fibre. They are peat-free and make a good, environmentally-friendly starter 'compost' for vegetable seeds.

Each disc will expand rapidly when water is added - and two discs will make enough compost for one 6cm starter pot.

Lay your discs on a small plate, and pour a little water around them. Keep adding small amounts of water until your discs have sucked it all up and stopped growing. then crumble all the damp compost into your starter pot, discarding the two biodegradable 'skins'.

Wooden seedling markers

These biodegradable wooden markers are 15cm long x 2cm wide. They can easily be written on with a pencil (included) or marker pen.

    Our postcards

    All the postcards in our individual gift sets are extra-large, A5 size - that's 21cm x 14.8cm.

They're printed on uncoated, bright white 380gsm card. That means they're nice and sturdy, and perfect for writing on with any sort of pen.

    Our seeds

We source all our seeds from a small network of trusted Scottish / UK suppliers.

We use seed-proof, hand-filled glassine paper seed packets for all our wildflower seeds. Glassine paper is 100% plastic-free, fully recyclable and biodegradable. This approach means we can also avoid the foil-sealed sachets many seed companies use, which are sadly not able to be recycled.

The clear cello bags we use to protect your items are also plant-based and 100% biodegradable.

Visit our environmental policies page to find out more!

*We offer free shipping on all items*

    Shipping services

Smaller items are shipped via Royal Mail's standard 1st Class postal service. Larger orders are shipped via Parcelforce, with items fully tracked to their destinations.

We post your items within 24 hours whenever possible, and always within three working days.

    Shipping destinations

We currently sell and ship our items to people in Scotland, England and Wales. Sadly, due to new export regulations following Brexit, we are are no longer able to deliver to Northern Ireland. We very much hope this will change in the future.

    Protecting your items in transit

Your items will be carefully packaged and fully protected in transit. We take our environmental responsibilities very seriously, and don't use any plastic in our packaging.

We've replaced parcel tape with brown paper tape, bubble wrap with tissue paper, jiffy bags with cardboard boxes or brown paper, and polystyrene 'peanuts' with GM-free starch-based loose fill, which is 100% biodegradable and compostable.

Visit our environmental policies page to find out more!
