Introducing our beautiful limited edition dibbers!

A dibber is used to make small holes in the earth, so seeds, bulbs or seedlings can be planted. A much-loved tool of gardeners everywhere, and a beautiful gift that will last a lifetime.

We work with Scotland-based craftspeople whenever possible - and we're delighted that these gorgeously tactile, solid wood dibbers have been created just for us by craftsman Michael Williamson, of Heilan Turning in the Scottish Highlands.

This set includes the following items:

  • Solid wood dibber, made from Scottish beech
  • 'Grow your own way' A5 postcard + envelope
  • Packet of organic vegetable/herb seeds of your choice
  • Free shipping
  • 10% goes into our 'good causes' seed giveaway fund

Solid wood dibber

Each dibber is crafted from solid beech and is around 20cm long and 3cm wide. It has a rounded handle for comfort and ease of use, and a gently tapered point for accurate seed, seedling or bulb placement.

Inch intervals are clearly marked on the dibber's length, so you know exactly how deep you're planting bulbs or sets.

Your dibber comes complete with a real leather hanging cord (to keep your shed or greenhouse nice and neat!).

It has been finished with friction polish, giving it a beautiful patina and sturdy finish. Keep it in prime condition with the occasional wax (beeswax or anything similar).

Wood traceable to a single historic location

These dibbers are a wee bit of Scottish history, too. The beech wood for every one of them comes from the former Rosehaugh Estate, once home to the Mackenzie clan. The remains of the estate still sits on the outskirts of the village of Avoch, on the Black Isle.

'Grow your own way' A5 postcard + envelope

A fresh, vibrant design that's new for spring 2021! In a lush spring green.

The XL postcard has plenty of space for a personal message on the reverse. That means this set is perfect for posting as a gift to a loved one.
