Your postcards

This new, winter design is an exclusive collaboration between us and Edinburgh-based illustrator Victoria Rose Ball - so you won't find it anywhere else! Victoria also created our 'Wildflowers in Scotland' postcard, and we're so proud of this beautiful snowdrop illustration in the same botanical style.

On the back of the postcard, you'll find an old German folk tale that we came across in our research for this card. It's about kindness, and generosity, about the power of nature and about resilience against all the odds. We hope you like it.

These are large, A5 postcards, and we've made sure there's plenty of space left on the back, for any personal message you'd like to write.

We know that many people are struggling at the moment, and we're all trying to hold on to the belief that spring will come, along with better times ahead. We hope this postcard is an appropriate representation of that sentiment, and that folk will enjoy receiving it.

Your wildflower seeds

Help loved ones get through the dark winter months by sending them a packet of cornfield annals wildflower seed mix to sow in the spring.

This bright and colourful one-year mix includes five species: Scarlet field poppy, blue cornflower, yellow corn marigold, white corn chamomile and purple corncockle. You can find out more about it here.

'Spring will come' - 5-pack wildflower seed gift set

    Our postcards

All the postcards we sell in our online shop are extra-large, A5 size - that's 21cm x 14.8cm.

They're printed on uncoated, bright white 380gsm card. That means they're nice and sturdy, and perfect for writing on with any sort of pen.

    Our seeds

We source all our seeds from a small network of trusted Scottish / UK suppliers.

We use seed-proof, hand-filled glassine paper seed packets for all our wildflower seeds. Glassine paper is 100% plastic-free, fully recyclable and biodegradable. This approach means we can also avoid the foil-sealed sachets many seed companies use, which are sadly not able to be recycled.

The clear cello bags we use to protect some items are also plant-based and 100% biodegradable.

*We offer free shipping on all items*

    Shipping services

Smaller items are shipped via Royal Mail's standard 1st Class postal service. Larger orders are shipped via Parcelforce, with items fully tracked to their destinations.

We post your items within 24 hours whenever possible, and always within three working days.

    Shipping destinations

We currently sell and ship our items to people in Scotland, England and Wales. Sadly, due to new export regulations following Brexit, we are are no longer able to deliver to Northern Ireland. We very much hope this will change in the future.

    Protecting your items in transit

Your items will be carefully packaged and fully protected in transit. We take our environmental responsibilities very seriously, and don't use any plastic in our packaging.

We've replaced parcel tape with brown paper tape, bubble wrap with tissue paper, jiffy bags with cardboard boxes or brown paper, and polystyrene 'peanuts' with GM-free starch-based loose fill, which is 100% biodegradable and compostable.

Visit our environmental policies page to find out more!

We take our customers' expectations extremely seriously, and it's really important to us that you are completely happy with your purchase.

If your item arrives damaged, or not as described, you are entitled to a full refund. Please let us know straight away by emailing photos to hello@seedsofhope.scot.

If you change your mind once you’ve received your item, we offer a 14 day, no-quibble returns period. In this case, the item needs to be returned to us in new condition and all its original packaging. You will also need to pay the return postage cost.
